I'll be back to check out the recipes later after my hike--it may hit 30F today, Heat Wave! Veggies: stir-fried kale with lentils and diced tomatoes. Even the family liked it. 250 crunches; back is a little sore, so I will concentrate on form today.

Great job everyone!

Oh, sorry! A reverse crunch (at least thats what I call them) are when you lie on your back and instead of lifting your head and shoulders, you lift your legs and butt and lower back off the ground. I keep my knees somewhat bent, and with my legs at a 90 (or closer to me) degree to the ground. With my arms anchoring me on the ground, straight and slightly away from my body. You also keep your head on the ground. Then, you tilt your pelvis back, rolling it as you pull your hips and lower back off the ground, and slowly lowering them back down. The movement uses your abs, it isn't done by swinging your legs. Hope that makes sense!

Ate the first raw apple of my life this morning. As I tweeted (@Brainzooming), it was kind of like swimming - I can do it, but not sure I'll rush to do it again.

Just did the 250 crunches...a lot easier than the 5k, that's for sure! My 5k cardio substitue was shoveling the drive way and the roof (don't ask) at various times during the day.

Tomorrow, it's the first raw pear ever. Hopefully I'll be able to find other fruits along the way, or I'll wind up switching back to veggies.

Gotcha.

Btw, amazing video today.

I hope you're able to banish what the scale represents for you. That's freedom to fuel, to grow, and to live.

Had to take a half pass on this today -- I got the green veggies. Celery sticks with peanut butter. Simple and tasty.

However, I just didn't get the crunches in. Now the pressure is on for the next 6 days!

I did continue the rising at 7:00 though.

Is the nasty version of a green smoothie. I recommend going easier on the greens and heavier on the fruit to make it palatable.

I've had beet smoothies before. They're good but fairly intense. Beets+spinach = Deep purple/brown.

Frozen banana + frozen grapes + pineapple + spinach = perfect noob shrek smoothie. Cold and sweet! =)
