Congratulations on finally getting over yourself 8=) But seriously, I know that it can be hard. Although I'm now overweight (I need to lose about 90 lbs) I never felt this way about it.

I did, however, feel this way about acne when I was younger. I had it on my back and even on my legs. I was very embarrassed by that and struggled with going to the beach or playing sports (especially when teams were designated 'shirts vs. skins'). I was convinced that everyone was looking and giggling.

I'm sure that some people notice and a few will laugh. But most people will remember that they're not perfect and they cut us some slack. The rest you don't need to worry about!

Don't wish for people to ignore you, but wish for them to support you! Anyone who is making the effort to improve themselves gets my support. Keep up the great work Seth. And you too Mary!

I *have been* ridiculed in public for walking my fat self through town. I wonder if it is because I am a female? People like to holler rude things from their cars, the stupid cowards. I would love for everyone to ignore me when I am exercising.

Touching ending. Very.

I wouldn't have known you think about this - or used to think about this - all the time. Hm. That's a lot of weight to have been carrying on your shoulders.

Your posts are both courageous and emotional.

I know where you were coming from with not wanting to be seen while excercising; I am a very self conscious person. When I see people out jogging, no matter how ridiculous they may look, I always applaud them cause are doing something I would never have the courage to do right now.
